• Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP) 
• War Pensioner's Mobility Supplement (WPMS) 
• Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP) 

Attendance Allowance is not eligible for the Scheme. 

At the end of your lease (usually three years), you can return the car and choose a new one or extend the lease, depending on your needs and eligibility. If you no longer wish to participate, the car can be returned without penalties.

Yes, up to three named drivers can be added to the insurance policy, which can include family members, carers, or friends. However, the car must primarily be used to meet the mobility needs of the person receiving the allowance.

Yes, parents or guardians can apply for the Motability Scheme on behalf of a child aged three or older if they are entitled to the Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance (HRMC DLA).

No, there are no medical assessments or driving tests required to join the Scheme. Your eligibility is based solely on the qualifying benefits you receive.

The lease agreement covers:

• Certain adaptations, often provided free of charge

All you need to budget for is fuel or charging costs and any optional extras.

If your qualifying benefits are reduced or stop during your lease, the vehicle must be returned. However, Motability provides support in certain circumstances, including financial assistance or an option to purchase the vehicle.
