Neil began his career as a Vauxhall apprentice in 2000 and progressed to Platinum – senior diagnostic – level.
He joined Agnew Group in 2016 and subsequently became one of only 22 High Voltage Experts in 2018 before progressing to Master Technician in 2023.
Neil’s high-voltage status means he is one of only a small number of technicians in the UK who remove and replace battery modules on high-voltage vehicles.
As part of Audi UK’s HVE elite team, Neil also had the opportunity to travel with fellow High Voltage Experts to Ingolstadt in Germany to visit the Audi factory and museum.
His story demonstrates the opportunities available to an experienced technician joining Agnew Group from another automotive brand who wants to continue developing and build specialist expertise.
James joined Porsche Belfast in July 2019 as a Service Technician.
Through on-site Group training and off-site manufacturer training, he achieved Bronze status in 2020, Silver status in 2023 and Gold Master Technician status in 2024, becoming one of the youngest technicians within the Porsche network to achieve this level. His qualifications also include HVT and HVE.
In January 2026, aged 29, James was appointed Workshop Controller, with oversight of 12 technicians and three apprentice technicians.
James has achieved significant progression within seven years and continues to have a clear pathway for further career development within Agnew Group.
Andrew joined Agnew Group at Volkswagen in September 2021 with no previous technical experience.
He completed three years of training with TTS to become a qualified technician, developing his technical knowledge and practical experience while working within Agnew Group.
Andrew was named Penske Elite Technician in both 2023 and 2024 and has progressed to Diagnostic Technician within five years of joining the business.
Andrew credits the support of his team and colleagues as one of the key reasons he enjoys working for Agnew Group and an important part of his development and progression.
