The new Audi A6 Saloon and Avant TFSI e quattro models combine power and efficiency, featuring a 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine with 185 kW (252 PS) and an electric motor that delivers up to 105 kW. UK-spec models can accelerate from 0 to 62mph in just 6.0 seconds and reach a top speed of 155mph. All A6 plug-in hybrid quattro models come with quattro all-wheel drive and all-wheel steering as standard, making the car feel more agile and easier to handle.
Available in Sport, S line, and Edition 1 trims, with prices starting from £60,980 (OTR), the A6 plug-in hybrid models will be available for sale in the UK starting in early June, with customer deliveries expected later in the summer.
At the heart of the A6 Plug-in Hybrid is a newly upgraded high-voltage battery with a 25.9 kWh capacity, a 45% increase over the previous generation. Thanks to this enhancement, the A6 Saloon can travel up to 64 miles on electric power alone, while the Avant offers up to 63 miles (depending on the version). Charging is faster, too, with a full charge taking just 2.5 hours using an 11 kW AC charger.
The A6 PHEV models automatically prioritize electric driving in urban areas, ensuring maximum efficiency. At higher speeds, the car switches to hybrid mode for optimal performance. With active route guidance, the system selects the most efficient driving mode based on the planned route, making electric driving the preferred choice in city streets and traffic jams. When the hybrid assistant is active, the system will adjust settings such as charge levels to ensure the most efficient energy use throughout your journey.
