The all-new Audi RS 5 has been officially unveiled, marking a major milestone for Audi Sport as its first ever high performance plug-in hybrid RS model. Combining electrified efficiency with unmistakable RS performance, the new RS 5 represents a bold new era for Audi’s most dynamic cars.
UK sales are expected to begin mid-2026, with full specifications and pricing to be confirmed closer to launch. Customers in Northern Ireland will be able to explore the new RS 5 through Belfast Audi and Portadown Audi.
Developed by Audi Sport, the new RS 5 is powered by a plug-in hybrid drivetrain producing an incredible 639 PS (470 kW). This combines a newly developed 2.9 litre twin turbo V6 with a powerful electric motor, delivering instant throttle response, exceptional acceleration, and the ability to drive on electric power alone for everyday journeys.
Despite its hybrid credentials, performance remains at the core:
This is electrification without compromise - designed to feel every bit an RS model.

The result is a car that feels composed and confidence-inspiring in everyday driving, yet thrilling and adjustable when driven hard.
Virtually, the RS 5 leaves no doubt about its performance credentials. Compared to the standard A5, it features:
Inside, the cabin delivers a fully immersive RS experience with sport seats RS-specific displays, premium materials, and bold detailing throughout.
Despite its extreme performance, the RS 5 remains practical and usable. The plug-in hybrid system allows:
RS-specific drive modes, including RS Sport and RS Torque Rear, allow drivers to tailor the car’s character from maximum grip to controlled oversteer on closed courses.
The new Audi RS 5 will be built in Neckarsulm, Germany, with UK order books opening in early 2026 and first deliveries expected in summer 2026.
