Audi has completely reworked the exterior featuring a new front and rear aprons to highlight the strong character of both models. Customers can now choose from three new finishes and the wheel range includes new designs ranging from 20 to 23 inches (depending on the model). Coming soon to Belfast and Portadown Audi.
Audi has also expanded the range of apps and driver assistance systems as part of the model upgrade. The standard equipment is also being expanded and now includes, 20-inch alloy wheels, a rearview camera, Audi virtual cockpit plus and three-zone automatic climate control.
Audi has recently given the electrified Q7 and Q8 a major upgrade, equipped with an updated battery and more efficient driving modes that significantly improve their performance.
The new battery achieves a maximum capacity of 25.9 kWh (gross; 22 kWh net) at 370 volts. The increased capacity results in an all-electric range of up to 52 miles on the Q7 and 51 miles on the Q8. The electrified Q7 and Q8 can accelerate from 0-62mph in 5.7 seconds and have an electronically limited top speed of 149mph, with an all-electric top speed of 84mph. The battery charges up to 7.4 kW and reaches 100 percent in approximately three hours and 45 minutes when charged at top power.
With the new upgrade, customers can now choose between fully electric EV mode or hybrid mode. Once selected through the MMI system, the chosen mode will persist until manually adjusted.
The battery now also intelligently recharges only at speeds of approximately 40mph or higher while in charge mode. This intelligent feature optimizes efficiency and guarantees extensive electric driving in urban areas and during stop-and-go traffic. Charge mode ceases when the battery reaches its maximum capacity of 75 percent, ensuring optimal battery conservation and enhanced efficiency.
