The intelligent driving system created by the merging of the efficient drivetrain concept, lightweight construction, aerodynamic design and a powerful high-voltage battery, allows the BMW i4 eDrive40 to reach up to 365 miles. In addition to this, other innovative technologies, such as brake energy recovery, help to extend the range and reduce energy consumption to less than 16.5 kW/h.
Charging
Your BMW i4 can go from 0 to 80% charge in just 34 minutes when using a 205 kW charging station. Or you can recharge up to 101 miles range in only 10 minutes. At home, a Wallbox gets the BMW i4 back to 100% charge in 13 hours. The essential extras, such as the BMW Flexible Charger for home use, the charging cable (Mode 3) for public charging and the BMW Charging Card for access to the public charging network, are included when you buy a BMW i4.
Adaptive Sound Experience
The optional BMW IconicSounds Electric feature reshapes the BMW i4's driving sound, both inside and out. The audio experience is dependent on your selected driving mode: choose between a powerfully dynamic sound with clear power-load feedback in SPORT mode; balanced acoustics and slight load feedback in COMFORT mode, or high acoustic comfort without additional sound staging in ECO PRO mode.
Front design.
The vertically aligned kidney of the BMW i4 extends from the unique BMW i front apron. Instead of cooling air, the kidney, with its patterned structure, supplies the vehicle with real-time data from built-in camera technology and radar functions, which help with driver assistance systems.
Side view.
The aerodynamic silhouette of the BMW i4 is an extension of the classic BMW Coupé. It features a long wheelbase with short overhangs and a flowing roofline that gives it an unmistakably sporty yet elegant impression.
Rear design.
Nothing compares to the expressive lines and sculptured surfaces found on the new BMW i4’s rear design. Showcasing new aero lips, which close off from the side, and stunning free-form diffuser elements accentuated by a blue trim frame, the BMW i4 offers so many design details to admire.
Driver-oriented cockpit
The very sleek and flat instrument panel gives the driver a new clear view of controls and elevates the driving experience. Cleverly, the high centre console provides separate areas for the driver and the front passenger to view.
BMW Curved Display
The new BMW Curved Display in the BMW i4 combines the 12.3" instrument cluster with the large 14.9" Control Display to create a modern display unit that curves towards the driver.
