Buying a car and keeping you safe: our updated sales processes

Re-opening of our showrooms and keeping you safe.

Following the recent announcement from the Northern Ireland Executive a phased re-opening of our showrooms for new and used vehicle sales will commence from Monday 8th June, to complement our workshops which have already re-opened.  In preparation, we have changed many of our procedures; to respect government guidelines and protect our customers and colleagues, please see details and a short video below.

And when our showrooms re-open for sales this will be preferably by advance appointment, to help manage the number of visitors at any one time so that social distancing guidelines can be adhered to.

Once our sales processes are operational the initial priority is to safely handover cars  to customers who were expecting to take delivery from the beginning of the lockdown, and progress by prioritising vehicle orders due in the coming months.  We will arrange an appointment for these handovers at the earliest opportunity.   We thank all our customers for their continued patience and support during this process.

The Motability scheme also has a phased re-opening.  You can place an order at our dealerships from Monday 8th June, if you are in the final three months of your lease or have had your lease extended due to COVID-19. Our sales team are still here to assist remotely to answer any queries you may have on our used vehicles or new car offers.  You can now reserve a used vehicle, and we will then then arrange the handover of the vehicle once we re-open. Read more about our reserve online feature HERE

What can I expect on my sales visit?

Our showrooms have been adapted to ensure social distancing protocols are in place, with fewer cars on display, clear directional signage and perspex screens introduced where interactions take place.  We have also suspended our refreshment services.

You will be greeted at reception with a friendly welcome and we will have a supply of PPE (gloves and facemasks), should you wish to use them, plus hand sanitisation stations throughout the dealership.  

To restrict the number of customers in the showroom at any one time booking in advance is preferable where possible, and we will always endeavour to accommodate any requests.  We respectively request each appointment is restricted to a maximum of 2 adults.  

You will have the opportunity to test drive the vehicle on a pre-agreed route.  These will be unaccompanied to maintain social distancing, and the vehicle will be sanitised before and after use.

If you are part-exchanging your current vehicle a valuation will have been provided prior to your visit.  This will be confirmed with a final physical inspection of the vehicle during the appointment.

To ensure our facilities remain as clean as possible, we've added additional cleaning procedures to our existing routines.
