The Leon CUPRA 300 will be SEAT’s most powerful productionmodel ever and will arrive in UK showrooms in March 2017.

As the name suggests, the 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine has amaximum output of 300PS (up 10PS). Maximum torque has also increased 350 to380Nm, between 1,800 and 5,500rpm. That means the driver will get a powerfulresponse from the engine barely ticking over all the way up to hitting the revlimiter. The Leon CUPRA also comes with dynamic chassis control (DCC): aprogressive steering system and electronic self-locking differential asstandard. The car’s dynamic qualities can be adapted to the drivers’ tastesthrough one of four modes in the CUPRA Drive Profile – Comfort, Sport,Individual and CUPRA. This last mode is the ultimate in hot-hatch performanceand takes the driving experience to another exhilarating level.

This sporty model will also be available in threebodystyles: SC (3dr), 5dr and ST (estate) – and the ST will have SEAT’s 4Driveall-wheel-drive system and double-clutch automatic gearbox (DSG). Standarddriver assistance equipment includes Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Assist, AdaptiveCruise Control and Pedestrian Protection, plus an electric parking brake andKeyless Entry and Start (KESSY). The integrated Media System Plus infotainmentsystem has an eight-inch screen and, for the very first time, the Leon CUPRAgets a Connectivity Hub with a smartphone wireless charger and antennaamplifier for areas with low signal coverage. The CUPRA 300 develops astaggering 300PS – meaning it’s the most powerful road car ever developed bySEAT – and peak engine torque goes up to 380Nm. New features include new 19-inchalloy wheels, new front fog lights plus the new-look Leon interior andexterior. ST (estate) versions will also benefit from SEAT’s 4Driveall-wheel-drive system with a DSG gearbox – creating a sports vehicleshowcasing performance, safety and versatility.
