Some of our favourite classic Porsche models
Added: 12 January 2018
Porsche have made some fantastic models over the years and a lot of them have made a huge mark on the motoring world due to exceptional design and the ability to shine! We’ll be covering some of our absolute favourite Porsche models and why we think they stand out.
The Backbone of Porsche, the Porsche Boxter
The Porsche Boxter was a savior for Porsche in many ways. It could not have been released at a better time for the company and it really helped to drive sales for the business. After its initial release in 1993 the Boxter quickly became one of the hit cars of the 90’s with its fantastic styling all for a reasonable price. As a strong carrier of the brand we thought it would be a shame if we did not give the Boxter a mention.
The face of Porsche, the 911
When someone says, “Porsche” the 911 is always the car that first springs to mind. This iconic car has seen many changes and also has so many different builds that you could see it fitting in anywhere. After its production started in 1963 the 911 has proved itself among the top cars for Porsche also picking up numerous championship titles at the ’24 Hours of Le Mans’ throughout the 1970’s. Fast forward to the modern day and the 911 is now one of the most powerful sports cars you can buy, fit with features that highlight the engineering excellence of the Porsche design team. As the face of Porsche, we couldn’t leave the 911 out of this one! If you’re interested in the current 911 yourself, contact us for a test drive today.
Porsche origins, the Porsche 356
The 356 is the original Porsche, the start of an era. It’s unique shape and styling is referenced for all Porsche models to date, its rear-engined layout and simple but remarkably effective design have carried through the Porsche brand since 1964, when it was first produced. It would be a motoring crime to not include the 356 at the top of the list!
Porsche’s evolution over the years has been astounding and there’s still so much more to come! If you’re interested in owning a Porsche yourself then why not visit our Belfast Porsche dealership, or get in touch today.
